**Description:**
Join us at the Lockport Community Farmers Market for a hands-on sewing workshop where we will explore the basics of stitching. This class is perfect for beginners who want to get comfortable using a needle and thread. Learn essential skills like the running stitch and the whip stitch, which are perfect for mending your beloved items. As part of this community event, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to a communal Kawandi quilt.
**Target Audience:**
Everyone is welcome! This class is open to all ages and skill levels.
**Key Learning Objectives:**
- Gain confidence in using a needle and thread.
- Master the running stitch and the whip stitch.
- Learn basic mending techniques to repair your favorite items.
- Contribute to a community Kawandi quilt project.
**Prerequisites:**
No prerequisites are required. This class is designed for beginners.
**Duration:**
The workshop will be held on July 10:
- 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM
**Instruction:**
Jessica, the owner of The Stitching Corner, will provide personalized, hands-on instruction to guide you through each stitch and project.
**Materials Needed:**
- If you have an item that needs mending, feel free to bring it for inspiration. Also, any fabrics or items you’ve cut up that inspire you
- Kits and all other necessary materials will be provided.

Terms & Conditions for Preorders and Special Order items-
- Patterns generally arrive within a month of their release (Market and Expo times can cause variation). New releases can be about a month while existing releases may only take a few days as they are simply being restocked.
- Fabric will be dyed to order and time varies between the Dyers. Generally between 4-12 weeks.
- Threads generally arrive within a few days to a month.
- Should you want to cancel any items within your order, you will only be refunded in store credit less a restocking fee.
- If I cannot fulfill your order due to supply issues or discontinuance, I will refund your original payment method and contact you for alternatives.
Preorder & Special order items are NOT IN STOCK and will ship within 2 business days of arrival. If you order these items and other in stock items, your entire order will ship when your FULL ORDER is in stock. Please contact me if you need items from your order sooner, we can work on it together.
Cancellations
Refunds for cancelling any item with Preorder in the title, will be issued as a Store Credit less a 30% restocking fee. All cancellations are refunded in Store Credit only.
Postage & Handling is not refundable as it is a service that is not refundable once a shipment is mailed and accepted by the carrier
