Ada Mary Hornsey of Wellingborough, England, stitched her sampler at age 10 on perforated paper, which was quite popular at the time. Her original sampler is 7-5/8 by 10 inches.
The model was stitched using Needlepoint Inc. silk thread on 40 count Light Sand linen from Zweigart making the stitched area 9-1/8 by 12 inches. This is slightly larger than AdaÕs original. If you want your sampler to be as close as possible to the size of the antique, stitch it over two linen threads on 48 count linen. You can also stitch this reproduction on 18 count Aida or 22 count Hardanger.

Terms & Conditions for Preorders and Special Order items-
- Patterns generally arrive within a month of their release (Market and Expo times can cause variation). New releases can be about a month while existing releases may only take a few days as they are simply being restocked.
- Fabric will be dyed to order and time varies between the Dyers. Generally between 4-12 weeks.
- Threads generally arrive within a few days to a month.
- Should you want to cancel any items within your order, you will only be refunded in store credit less a restocking fee.
- If I cannot fulfill your order due to supply issues or discontinuance, I will refund your original payment method and contact you for alternatives.
Preorder & Special order items are NOT IN STOCK and will ship within 2 business days of arrival. If you order these items and other in stock items, your entire order will ship when your FULL ORDER is in stock. Please contact me if you need items from your order sooner, we can work on it together.
Cancellations
Refunds for cancelling any item with Preorder in the title, will be issued as a Store Credit less a 30% restocking fee. All cancellations are refunded in Store Credit only.
Postage & Handling is not refundable as it is a service that is not refundable once a shipment is mailed and accepted by the carrier
